Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don’t matter and those who matter don’t mind."

Professional Orientation
My personal philosophy is built on the foundation of person-centered counselling practices within a cognitive-behavioural and solution-focused framework. I have learned that at the heart of most successful therapeutic journeys is a combination of client, relationship, hope and expectancy factors and finally the model or techniques that the counsellor uses. I see clients through a non-judgemental lens and I approach the counselling process with nonpossessive warmth, genuineness and respect for the human being standing in front of me and asking me for guidance and support.
People vary in so many different ways and so, I am not an adept of the “ one size fits all” when referring to the working alliance as well as the overall counselling process. I have seen that therapeutic alliance is enhanced when I accept my clients goals at face value instead of challenging them or altering them to fit a particular theoretical model or my agenda. This is a constant reminder that the counselling process is first and foremost about clients and finding ways to help them in their endeavour to finding a more meaningful and healthy life.
